When the Waters Rise, So Does Our Faith

In recent weeks, several states across the nation have faced devastating floods—destroying homes, displacing families, and leaving entire communities in turmoil. Many floods are still active as we speak. From small towns to rural farms and urban neighborhoods, the rising waters have left a path of destruction that is both heartbreaking and humbling.

At Guard the Homestead, we want to take a moment to say: our hearts and minds are with every individual, every family, and every community impacted by these floods. Whether you’ve lost your home, your crops, your animals, or simply feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty of it all, please know—you are not alone.

We may not be able to stop the storms, but we can offer prayer, encouragement, and the assurance of God’s enduring presence even in the most trying times.

Here are a few Scriptures we hope will bring comfort and strength:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.”

– Isaiah 43:2

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

– Psalm 46:1

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

– 1 Peter 5:7

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

– Psalm 34:18

As fellow Americans, as homesteaders, and as people of faith, we stand in solidarity with you. Whether you’re cleaning up, rebuilding, or simply trying to make sense of what’s next—we are praying for your safety, restoration, and peace.

If you are in a position to help, now is the time to check in on neighbors, donate supplies, or support trusted relief efforts. If you’re in need, we encourage you to reach out to organizations that provide the proper assistance. You are not forgotten.

Let us continue to lift one another up, just as we’re called to do.
